Large-format acrylic painting “Wild Sea” (2020) by Peter Nottrott

The North German artist Peter Nottrott was born in 1962 in Flensburg, near the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. After graduating from the private art school Atelier YAK in Hamburg, he began working full-time as an artist. Initially, he primarily painted photorealistic and surrealist pictures, but over time, a true passion for abstract art developed, and this is now the focus of his artistic work. The abstract expressionist feels particularly at home working with abstract forms, where he expresses his love of intense color and vibrancy in painting, as well as his creative fantasies and ideas beyond concrete motifs. His paintings are full of life and joy, radiating this atmosphere to the viewer and to any space they adorn.
