Ernst Ludwig Kirchner was a founding member of the artist group "Brücke" and is one of the most important representatives of Expressionism. His oeuvre includes around 30,000 paintings, drawings, sketches and sculptures. If the fear of a person is oversized and his life of life not only threatened but also taken away, then he often sees only one way out: self -chosen death. So Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, who put an end to his life on June 15, 1938 on the Alm above Davos with a pistol shot. Before that, however, he destroyed his print sticks and a large part of his sculptures for fear of the invasion of German troops.
