Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) is considered the most important artist of the 20th century and left an impressive legacy of over 40,000 work. Already at a young age he showed extraordinary talent and continued to develop by looking for new forms of artistic expression. His works are shaped by lively motifs such as women, Harlekine and pigeons and show his inexhaustible creativity and a remarkable versatility. Picasso started his career in Barcelona and quickly found his way to Paris, where he drew attention to himself with his blue and pink period. Together with Georges Braque, he revolutionized art with cubism. Other influences, such as surrealism, enriched its work, the highlights such as the "Guernica" wall painting - a haunting testimony of his time. His life's work mirrors 's tes not only personal experiences, but is also drawn by his relationships with various women and its constant change in style and technology. From oil painting to ceramics to lithography, Picasso's influence on the art world remains strong; Top -class exhibitions still attract large number of visitors and testify to his timeless popularity. Max Ernst aptly summarized Picasso's genius: "Nobody can arrive."
