The handcrafted tenor slit drum combines the highest quality materials with a thoughtful, sustainable design. Measuring approximately 100 x 30 x 25 cm, it is ideal for use in therapeutic applications, early musical education, and the art and luxury goods market. Included is a pair of mallets.

The body of the slit drum is made of ash wood , which is valued for its exceptional strength and durability. The striking or sound plates are made of ash, pear, birch, or walnut wood to allow for a versatile sound profile.

The wood used comes exclusively from regional, sustainable forestry. With the exception of a few structural components inside the slit drum, all components are traditionally glued and additionally secured with wooden nails. This construction method ensures a pristine aesthetic and maximum durability.

Only food-safe, beeswax-based sealants are used. This protects the wood from moisture and external influences while preserving its natural breathability. At the same time, the treatment ensures a pleasant feel and a silky finish.

Care instructions

Slotted drums are purely natural products and, when delivered, only require cleaning with a damp cloth as needed. The factory treatment with beeswax penetrates deep into the wood fibers and, when used properly, protects the product for the lifetime of the drum.

Important note: The slotted drum should only be used and stored indoors.
