City breaks

A motorhome trip doesn't always have to take place in other countries. Germany has many destinations that are worth a trip for by motorhome. During a short tour, you have the chance to see and explore your own home country from a completely different perspective.

As in other countries, city breaks are also worthwhile in Germany. Every German should visit cities like Hamburg, Berlin, and Munich at least once. So why not take the opportunity to explore these cities in a different way? Near most major cities, there are campsitesthat are perfect for a relaxing stay.

Those staying for a few days can take the opportunity to plan a day trip to the nearest city. But it's not just large cities that offer a wealth of culture. Cities like Rostock or Trier are often overlooked in travel plans.

They have many beautiful spots and are definitely worth a visit. Trier is the oldest city in Germany and offers a wealth of Roman history and culture.

Castles and palaces

Routes leading past castles and fortresses very popular. For this, people can easily rent a nearly new motorhome. Castles, fortresses, and of course monasteries are among the most beautiful buildings from bygone eras. The best-preserved medieval monastery complex north of the Alps is the Maulbronn World Heritage Site.

Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the most famous and beautiful castles in Germany. The surrounding area is also popular. Eltz Castle is likewise situated in a stunning setting and inspires visitors to dream.

But smaller and lesser-known monasteries, castles and palaces also have their charm.

Romanticism on the Rhine

There are many castles to see in the region around the Lorelei . The moated castle right in the Rhine is particularly special . Several other palaces can also be found here. In general, the Rhine is a worthwhile destination for a motorhome trip.

The surroundings are beautiful and inviting. The nearby towns are definitely worth a visit. Wine lovers can sample various wines in the wine-growing regions and end the day in a relaxing atmosphere.

Relaxation in nature

Germany offers a diverse range of natural landscapes. Saxon Switzerland impresses with its green forests, caves, cliffs, and gorges. In Andernach , there's a geyser reminiscent of Iceland or Yellowstone National Park. This geyser is the largest cold-water geyser in the world. The rest of the Volcanic Eifel region is also worth seeing.

Spectacular natural wonders can also be found in other parts of Germany. The Weltenburg Gorge is best explored by boat. The journey takes you along the Danube through towering limestone cliffs. There are plenty of campsites nearby.

The Lüneburg Heath also offers stunning natural scenery. In summer and autumn, Central Europe's largest heathland glows in beautiful shades of purple. The area's streams, forests, and moors are also well worth exploring. Waterfalls are among its most beautiful natural wonders.

The Urach Waterfall in the Swabian Alps plunges over 37 meters into the depths below. It is surrounded by a moss-covered slope. In contrast, the Kuhflucht Waterfalls in Garmisch-Partenkirchen cascade down in a series of steps through rock fissures and gorges.

They are about 200 meters high and are among the tallest in Germany.

It's worth staying a few days everywhere and exploring the area.
