La Boqueria, Spain's largest supermarket, is the perfect place to stock up on delicious treats for your onward journey. Those wishing to enjoy a few days of camping on the Costa Brava will find numerous campsites near the beaches.
The journey continues northeast, where you can spend a pleasant time in the former Roman colony of Tarragona . Here you can discover many reminders of Roman rule. The National Archaeological Museum located here. From the amphitheater, there is a beautiful view of the blue sea.

Experience the real Spain, passing by orange trees
through the quaint town of Castellón de la Plana towards Valencia , a city that modern architecture with classical buildings. An interesting science museum awaits visitors there. On warm days, you can cool off in the refreshing waves at the city beach.
From Valencia, it's about 230 kilometers further to Murcia , which also boasts exceptional architecture. Besides the breathtaking cathedral, you should also visit the Santa Clara Monastery , which houses a museum.

You can enjoy a few relaxing hours on the warm sand at the many beaches surrounding the city center. Afterwards, the journey continues to Seville . In the city's romantic streets, visitors can explore ancient mosques and cathedrals, and there's plenty to do in the evenings as well.
World Heritage Site in Spain
After a stopover in Cáceres , where you can admire the UNESCO World Heritage-listed old town, the journey continues to Salamanca . Here you'll find the oldest university in Europe . The cathedrals are also worth seeing.
The route then continues past Valladolid towards Burgos, . This is a key point on the Camino .
After another 200 kilometers, you'll find Santander , which boasts a museum of fine arts . Here you can see works of art from the 17th to the 20th centuries.
Also in Bilbao , which is 100 kilometers from Santander and represents the next stop, is the Guggenheim Museum , which has gained worldwide fame.
