The Brazilian artist, born in 1963, brings joy and hope to the lives of many of his collectors with his cheerful paintings and sculptures. Romero Britto counts celebrities such as Steffi Graf and André Agassi, as well as actors, the Kennedy family, and Barack Obama among his clients. No wonder, as the Pop Art artist's works directly connect to the pioneers of this style, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. Romero Britto stylizes his subjects with black-framed color fields into precise figures that, through their vibrant colors, achieve a sense of depth without illusion of three-dimensionality, directly touching the viewer's emotions. He designs these color fields with geometric patterns such as lines, circles, and hatching. They retain the characteristics of a comic strip and tell imaginative stories to each viewer.
