Abstract bronze sculpture "Breathing 7" (2015/16) by Yves Rasch

Yves Rasch, born in Hamburg in 1979, has been active as a freelance sculptor in wood and bronze since 2002. From 2004 to 2009 he was a student at Erich Gerer and has been regularly participating in national and international symposia and exhibitions since 2005. His sculptures are an expression of inner tensions and have a noticeable presence without being figurative. Rasch quickly combines dynamics, calm and harmony in his work, making you embody movement in the unmoved. From different perspectives, his works constantly develop new forms of expression. The wooden sculptures arise from solid blocks and radiate ease and filigree despite their size; The bronzes are casting of these unique originals.
