Image "The morning" - from the "daily time cycle", framed

Caspar David Friedrich's works implement the romantic idea of interpreting and decrypting the "Book of Nature" in a convincing way. The "daily time cycle", which was created in 1821/22, also describes a life cycle in which the viewer childhood, youth, maturity and serenity of age can recognize.

"The Morning" focuses on the lonely person in fishermen's matters, which begins on a quiet, reed -covered pond, surrounded by the omnipotence of the awakening nature.

This treasure of the Hanover State Gallery was transferred exclusively for Ars Mundi to canvas and in a gilded solid wood strip.

Caspar David Friedrich is considered the most outstanding German painter of romanticism, whose works have a profound connection to nature and spiritual vein against mirrors n. His meticulously painted landscapes often show lonely figures that look longing into the distance, while transporting romantic and religious feelings with symbolic metaphors such as the moon or tree stumps. After completing his training in Copenhagen, Friedrich settled in Dresden, where he was surrounded by important poets. The close connection between painting and poetry shaped his work and reveals emotions that go beyond words. Overall, he sought to give insights into the human soul through his art and to connect to the eternal search of romance for internal fulfillment.
