Jan Köthe (born 1965) creates a fascinating contrast in his sculptural works between the solid, massive nature of stainless steel and the organic forms of his sculptures, which embody a unique, dynamic aesthetic. This distinctive artistic expression has brought Köthe recognition through numerous exhibitions, acquisitions, and art and promotional awards. In 2002, he was a guest artist at documenta 11 in Kassel. He studied sculpture at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts under the direction of Professor Horst Linn. Jan Köthe lives in Berlin.
