Born in Spain in 1953, the artist showed a predilection for sculpture and three-dimensional work from a young age. However, lacking family support, he applied his artistic skills in the textile industry. In 1981, when an art school, the "Escuela de Artes y Oficios," was founded in his hometown of La Pobla de Claramunt, he assumed the role of rector. He relinquished this position after a few years to dedicate himself entirely to his sculptural work. He creates sculptures that exhibit a clear tendency towards figuration in dynamic, dance-like movement. In his thematic world, humankind is at the center of a constantly renewing creation. Like the great masters of classical Greece, he is perpetually searching for the truth and the origin of human existence. With vigor, he breaks open the bedrock and shapes it into sculptures of unique beauty and expressiveness.
