Sculpture "devotion", version in bronze

Jürgen Götze's interpretation of love.

Götze faces figurative tradition, especially the representation of the human body. But his style is also trained on the works of the modern 20th century. At first glance, the lovers facing each other in intimate tenderness can therefore be recognized as today. With "devotion" he succeeded in a work of great emotional density.

About Jürgen Götze (*1964, porcelain modeler and "Sculpteur"): The sculptor Jürgen Götze, born in Coburg in 1964, prefers to describe himself as a "sculptur" than as a sculptor. He was a models for 15 years at one of the leading porcelain manufacturers in Germany. In addition, numerous works were created according to their own designs, inspired by studies of expressionism and Art Nouveau. Since 1999, Götze has been working freelance in his own workshop in Moggenbrunn. In April 2006, Bavarian television reported from the artist's studio in the "Fascination Art" series. Jürgen Götze exhibits his works at home and abroad, including 2013 on Art Innsbruck. The artist's special care applies to figurative plastic. His works inspired by the examination of natural forms are characterized by an emphasis on extensive forms in a clear line language. The female act, to which the artist encounters in the area of tension between abstraction and eroticism, is a "supreme discipline" for sculptors. The forerunners from antiquity to the present are numerous. Editing the topic in your own style is a big challenge. Jürgen Götze accepts her; On the one hand, he faces long tradition, but on the other hand, it is based on forms of expression of modernity that have shaped him as an artist. The result is an expressive representation of the modern, self -confident woman.
