Valérian, or Valé Stencil, is a French street artist who was born in 1990. Valé, who now lives in Mexico City after a decade of travel, has developed an aesthetics that combines figurative stencil compositions with pop graffiti styling, both as a murals and as a canvas works of art. With a strong sympathy and faith in the human mind, his works can be seen as Mirrors of our common humanity. Its work combines different techniques and mainly consists of numerous layers of hand -cut stencils, which are painted with a mixture of brushes, aerosolosis, pallet meters or markers. In this practice, he combines shining, shiny colors and gray tones on subtle shading stencils in order to achieve a feeling of photo realism. Valérian's work contrasts recognizable pop iconography with pictures of local cultures in his works to present the multifaceted identity of every culture that he encounters around the world on his travels. This comparison is a tribute to urban art by contrasting the gray of the streets with the intense colors that represent the liveliness of life. Valérian works with galleries, social projects, festivals and brands. His works of art can be found in galleries in Paris, Saint-Tropez, Monaco, New York, Amsterdam, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. He exhibited in the Saint-Martin gallery and the Sonia Monti gallery in France, Franz Mayer Museum and in the Carré d'Artistes in Mexico or in the Carré d'Artistes New York in the USA. He was covered by Streetart NYC, Konbini, Cultura Colectiva, Estilo DF and commissioned for projects such as Jaguar Land Rover, Montana, Comex or Santander.
