Inez Froehlich, born in Reichenbach/Vogtland, grew up in an artistically inclined environment, which formed the basis for her later artistic work. After studying textile technology at the Chemnitz University of Technology, she initially worked in the private sector. During this time, painting and photography provided a counterbalance to her highly technical career. In 2003, she took the bold step into fine art, resolutely exchanging her desk for an easel. Abstract, often textured compositions of color and form are central to her artistic practice. She uses acrylic paints, various texture pastes, stone dust, chalk, ink, and other artistic materials. She describes her working method as an intuitive process in which the outcome is open and can even change during the creative process itself. Froehlich's artwork has been exhibited regionally and internationally, including in Germany, South Korea, and Switzerland. She has exhibited at Gallery O in Essen (2025), the Parnell Gallery in Seoul (2024), and Galerie Schwan in Püttlingen (2022). She has been featured in publications such as "All-In-Line" (2022) and the "Circle Quarterly Art Review Magazine" (2019).
