“Arrival of the Fishermen” (2024) – Oil painting (unique piece) by Christin Lutze

Imagined spatial structures, chance occurrences, blurring, and superimpositions – these are the elements from which Christin Lutze (born 1975) constructs her pictorial worlds. The artist freely applies the structure of classical landscape painting, creating spaces where time seems to stand still, reminiscent of Edward Hopper's spatial vision. From rational, surreal, and emotional elements emerges a contemporary yet solid simultaneity, "with an inherent calm and a captivating power." In addition to numerous exhibitions, Lutze's works are also held in private and public collections both in Germany and abroad.
