Great strength from the constant change: Maria-Luise Bodirsky's "Metamorphosis"
The artist has been devoting herself to metamorphosis since 1994. Ovid's epic "metamorphoses"-transformation stories from the ancient world of legends about becoming and dying-people in their development, change, often also solidification and liberation from them fascinate them and stimulate them to work through different states. Every phase of life includes letting go of the old and the possibility of fresh start.
Bronze sculpture. This edition limited to 199 copies is signed and numbered individually. Cast by hand in the wax melting process.

It is the basic elements of earth, water, fire and air that the sculptor and ceramician Maria-Luise Bodirsky, born in 1952, combines in her sculptures and in the work process. The tone is your elementary design means when it captures the inner and external circumstances of her characters, tracks them down. Bodirsky can be inspired by early human history, Egyptian high culture, Greek mythology and the Old Testament or from modern literature, for example, for her archaic figures.
