You should perhaps make it clear to your children first of all that the pocket money of the next few years does not have to be planned for these gifts, and of course you tell you why this is and how it should work that wonderful gifts are created with little cost - by handicrafts.

They usually do not need to persuade smaller children for tinkering, but they can't quite as much, and are often anxious that they do not bring about a presentable result.

So you should have a few good suggestions at hand, which your child could tinker - for whom, it is usually much faster.

Here are a few suggestions that can do with inexpensive ingredients and enable your child to develop real artistic development:

1. 1. Putter walks with the children are there for collecting, and particularly beautiful leaves are regularly collected. They can be transformed into very beautiful decorations, especially for people who can do little with kitsch and colorful handicrafts.

   4. Grandma Charlotte gets a family of ducks, the ducks are basically created from a large and a small chestnut that is put together. Then two pistachio shells are glued as a beak, wings and tail are plugged into the side of toothpicks. The toothpicks and the pistachio shells can then be painted in color. Grandma Regina particularly likes hedgehogs, they can be made of chestnuts and many, many toothpicks, two peppercorns are glued in.

Hopefully there are also a few stones in the forest, they become Christmas gifts for the grandpas. Everyone gets their particularly beautiful and colorfully painted stone, which can be used as a letter complaint, or as a note holder for notes, or as a weight so that the newspaper is not always blown by the garden table.

The stones are best primed with white acrylic paint for this project, then the actual motif with colorful craft colors can be applied a lot more expressive.

If your child complains that this motif would never manage, you could either persuade it to rely on artistic freedom (this variant usually produces unique results) or search for a template from the Internet from which the outlines can decrease.

Usually the creative filling of these outlines is enough to produce an unmistakable work of art. Again, after drying the colors, at least one layer of clear coat from the can should be put over the picture to protect it from abrasion.

1. Mom is still missing and she just likes beautiful pictures. They arise by first painting a picture that consists only of outline. This should be tried out beforehand on some leaves before it is transferred to a pad that can be glued, e.g. B. an empty canvas. Then the outlines are covered with finds from the forest (apply really thick transparent glue), so that a very unusual picture is gradually created, mosses and leaf pieces, small branches and dry leaves can be used here. The finished image is later covered with clear varnish from the spray can so that it does not "crumble".
2. Most grandmas love houseplants , and for them smaller children can decorate very nicely flower pots that are given away with a plant for Christmas. The stews can be painted, covered with decorations cut out of self -adhesive foils, adorned with servicetting technology (and help of mom).
3. Even the remains that remain of the forest finds are still becoming gifts, namely an imaginative Christmas-winter table decoration that can bring cosiness in the apartments of many loved ones. The basis is a kind of wooden tray, here you can really take a tray, but also a wooden plate or even a thick cardboard that is painted accordingly or braid in red fabric. Then the existing ingredients for the table decoration are checked and maybe added a little in the next handicraft business.

   

   After all, they have chestnuts and naked branches in front of them, moss and gold -yellow -colored leaves, artificial mushrooms and real mature cranberries, spruce needle bushes and a wonderfully bizarre shaped dry root. In addition, there was a kilogram of stones, from the hardware store, and many meters of beautiful loop tape to match the fabric of its base plate.

   All of these finds are now arranged for an extraordinary table decoration, attached with glue, pins or the loop band and at the end with tiny gold stars or with gold dust (then it is the turn of the clear coat).

4. When grandparents or patent aunt find such colorful table decorations rather kitschy, it is also very different: they take a stainless steel plate and arrange only a kind of forest finds with some battery-operated LED light chains on this plate, which will then be an almost futuristic wall or table decoration. But rather not to tinker with very young children, they usually love it a little more colorful.
