“Tamara Javurek, we are very pleased that you have found the time! Let's first go back to the beginning: How did you get into art and when?”
I loved painting from a very young age. But since art is often not a lucrative profession, after school I initially opted for a solid apprenticeship as a chemical-technical assistant. This meant that art took a backseat for a while, though it was never forgotten.
A few years later, it was art that helped me overcome a life crisis. Through the intuitive interplay of colors, I rediscovered the joy of life that I express in my paintings.
“What inspires you?”
I rarely have a concrete idea for a painting in mind. Mostly it's just the colors I want to use. I'm primarily inspired by my mood. The artwork doesn't originate in my head, but rather during the creative process, through the interplay of colors, textures, and emotions.

“How about… a little artist's secret?”
One of my paintings has a little secret; you don't see it at first glance. I often start by applying a texture paste. This needs to dry for one to two days. During this time, I lay the painting on its side. I did the same with the piece "Sweet Dreams ." After it had dried, I was about to apply the first layer of paint when I discovered the imprint of a cat's paw in the texture.
I have two cats, and one of them must have walked across the picture. Since I didn't want to start all over again, I left the paw print in and incorporated it into the artwork. You can only see it if you know where it is.

“The studio atmosphere is of course also important when creating works of art – what do you need for that?”
A large canvas, plenty of colors, and definitely the right music!
“How would you describe your art yourself?”
My art is special because I don't follow any rules. I love variety and constantly reinvent myself (and my art)!
We thank you very much for your time and of course wish you all the best for the future!
