A logo or design can look powerful on a screen but lose impact on a garment. Textiles move, fold, and are worn every day. Therefore, visual identity on clothing requires different decisions than on a poster or website.

The most important question is: Should the garment represent something, be sold, or make a group recognizable? Each answer changes the design.

Terms & Conditions arity as part of the design

A very large design might work for a campaign photo, but be too conspicuous for everyday wear. A very small design might look elegant, but would be barely noticeable from a distance. Good textile design finds the balance between visibility and comfort.

A design works on clothing when the design, material, color, and placement are planned together.

The placement of the print also affects its impact. Chest, back, sleeve, and neck appeal to different situations. A back print is helpful at events. A small chest logo is suitable for team apparel. A detail on the sleeve can showcase a brand more subtly.

Check color and fabric

Fabric color and motif color must be considered together. A brand color might appear vibrant on white fabric but flatter on gray. Dark fabrics often require stronger contrasts. Light fabrics demand clean edges and a crisp file.

The fabric itself influences the impression. A heavy shirt, a smooth hoodie, or a work polo shirt convey different values. The garment is therefore not just a vehicle for the design, but an integral part of the overall design.

Burger Print offers personalized clothing for brands, teams, events, and businesses. For visual projects, it's crucial that the design, product, and personalization can be planned together.

Choose a technique that suits the subject matter

DTF and digital printing can reproduce detailed and colorful designs. Screen printing is suitable for specific series with vibrant colors and larger quantities. Embroidery alters perception more significantly because it adds texture to the design.

The technique should match the graphic intent. A fine line design requires a different approach than a bold logo. Minimum sizes, edges, and color areas should also be checked before production.

Fewer elements, better memory

A clear motif on clothing is more memorable than an overloaded design. A name, a symbol, a color, and a well-placed accent are often sufficient. Too much information makes the garment less memorable. Terms & Conditions apply.

Visual identity on textiles succeeds when design can not only be displayed but also worn. Clothing is a mobile medium. That's precisely why it must remain legible, comfortable, and appropriate for the occasion.
