An exhibition, two exhibition houses - how is that possible? This idea is currently being implemented "Between Pixel and Pigment. Hybrid painting in postdigital times" in the Marta Herford and the Bielefeld Kunsthalle
Until November 10, 2024, visitors still have the opportunity to experience an impressive collection of artistic work that impressively demonstrates that painting in the digital age has by no means lost in importance.
Rather, it turns out that it receives new impulses through the dynamics of digitization and continues to develop.

Andy Warhol's iconic works on the innovative creations from Peter Kogler to the contemporary masterpieces of Tim Berresheim and Avery Singer . A total of around 150 exhibits of 25 artists stretch across the two houses and take visitors into a world that moves at the interface between digital pixels and traditional color pigments.
This hybrid approach to painting leads to a fertile examination of the possibilities that modern technology offers us - and impressively proves that creativity knows no limits.
Michael Stoeber , author of the Kunstforum , describes in his review after visiting this exhibition:
The collective effort has produced great. And even if you can look at the exhibitions each with a profit, it is definitely worth taking the short journey of a few kilometers between the two cities to see everything. ”
The assessment not only emphasizes the attraction of the connection between the two institutions, but also encourages the exhibits to deal directly - an invitation that they certainly do not want to reject.
Get an idea of this extraordinary fusion of digitality and painting yourself. Let yourself be inspired by the variety of creative approaches and the dialogue between tradition and innovation, which comes alive in these two exhibition houses.
