Art as a gift

An incredibly large number of people complain frequently and repeatedly that they cannot find the right gifts for the people they love.

They already had everything they needed, but unfortunately, they didn't have enough money for the things that would truly bring them joy. Clearly, the second statement referred to things of considerable monetary value, such as cars or houses.

Are we really talking about gifts here?

Is it a giftto give someone what they need? It probably depends on whether the other person is a relative or a friend. In the former case, it should be a given that we give them what they need; in the latter, it would be desirable.

However, one thing is certain: these are probably not gifts as described in the complaint above

Or is this complaint not about things one needs, but about things one can use? Most people already have so many of those that they don't need any more when it comes to affordable gifts.

Many people already have so many of these things that they rigorously refuse to receive any more of them as gifts or to have them brought into their household in any other way.

These people are fed up with having to cram a third coffee maker onto the kitchen shelf. They don't want any more extra-small picnic grills or designer wine corkscrews. And perhaps they're also people with a rather ascetic taste, who definitely won't be pleased by fun, brightly colored flowerpots or charming little knick-knacks.

It's true that such people are difficult to give gifts to at first glance.

Unless the gift-giver were to remember the original meaning of a gift: to show the other person that they are loved, that they are interested in their personality, that they have time to give to them.

Then it becomes quite easy to find the right gifts for a girlfriend or boyfriend

This is where art comes into play, a far-reaching source of creativity in our society that is often forgotten when it comes to bringing joy to others. For the very essence of art lies in creating works intended to delight others. Therefore, there is a great deal of art that is perfectly suited to being given as a gift.

However, these are not the most convenient gifts, because you need to put some thought into your friends' tastes and also be prepared to sacrifice some time to find the right art gift :

You could give your girlfriend or boyfriend a real work of art, not just any piece of art, but one that is likely to be very expensive and that the recipient will really like.

If you know your friends' secret passions, you might be able to give them a huge gift: the opportunity to engage with art. For example, a gift certificate for a course where they can learn the basics of a skill they've long dreamed of mastering.

They could also give the gift of shared time, more specifically defined by the plan to visit an art exhibition together (and a voucher for the entrance ticket).

We hope that you will soon find many works on these pages that inspire you to give a special friend a truly unique and thoughtful gift! And we encourage all artists who create works that might interest and delight others to upload their pieces to Kunstplaza .

This gives people who don't live in a city with numerous galleries the chance to give art as a gift.
