Falconry was considered the most noble form of hunting in the Middle Ages. Emperors and kings enjoyed it, and the Hohenstaufen emperor Frederick II even wrote a book about it ("On the Art of Hunting with Birds"). Our lifelike bronze falcon, with its typical hunting falcon's leather strap around one talon, can be mounted on any base, such as a tree trunk or garden fence.
