Garden sculpture “Dachshund Frodo” by Günther Stimpfl
Stimpfl's dachshund was created as a favor for a friend. It is a faithful replica of the dachshund "Frodo," who belonged to an acquaintance and kept him company in his studio over the years. And so, on one occasion, the sculptor created this bronze memorial to him.
A depiction of a dachshund, and of all dachshunds in general: With the serenity typical of the breed, he gazes attentively at the viewer. Edition in bronze, cast using the lost-wax process, hand-chased and patinated. Limited edition of 199 numbered and signed copies. Dimensions: 40 x 58 x 28 cm (H/W/D). Weight: approx. 22 kg.
