Anastassia Skopp, born and raised in Russia, studied art at the Mordovian Academy of Arts from 1985 to 1992. Her work is strongly influenced by the spiritual teachings of Eckhart Tolle, who views flowers as symbols of the connection between the material and the spiritual. In her impasto, semi-abstract paintings, she invites viewers into a meditative world enriched by influences of abstract expressionism and modern art. Skopp employs an innovative mixed-media technique using undiluted acrylic paint, ink, and texture paste, along with tools such as palette knives and fruit knives to create three-dimensional effects. Her works are represented in private collections worldwide.
