Inspired by Henri Matisse's 1935 painting "Handkerchief," the artist has tinged the white background of the primed canvas with ultramarine blue and then recreated Matisse's beautiful lines with ink and brush. The stroke is unique because it is executed quickly and remains stationary.

The artist allowed the ink to flow freely downwards.

Acrylic on canvas, painted around the edges and coated with protective varnish. The painting can be hung immediately on the stretcher frame.
