Hans Rabanser is a wood sculptor, and as such, he has a very close relationship to his "material": how his sculptures are shaped, what movement, what position he can depict, is not least due to the structure and properties of the wood in front of him. Now, for the first time, one of his wooden objects appears in artificial marble, a completely new artistic experience for him.
Edition in white artificial marble. Cast stone, hand-patinated. Limited edition of 499 numbered and signed copies. Dimensions: 37 x 10 x 9 cm (W/H/D). Weight: approx. 3.5 kg.

Hans Rabanser, born in 1948 in Val Gardena, South Tyrol, turned to wood sculpture after 30 years as a photographer. He works as a freelance artist, and his work has been exhibited from Munich and Cologne to Malindi, Kenya. Rabanser works primarily outdoors, where he finds the inspiration and tranquility for his sculptures. "My sculptures emerge spontaneously—depending on how the tree has grown and shaped," says Hans Rabanser. This results in truly unique forms that make his sculptures a sensory experience.
