Sculpture “Sound of Waves”
She has just emerged from the waves and, her hair pinned up with an artfully tied headband, lets the sun dry her skin. With closed eyes, she listens to the sea. In this way, Schinzel's work appeals to the viewer's senses in two ways: the visible and the audible are equally present.
Sculpture in fine bronze, cast using the lost-wax process, hand-patinated and polished.
Limited edition of 179 pieces, of which 159 are in bronze and 20 are in bronze with a gilded hairband, numbered and signed by Prof. Schinzel. Includes a hand-numbered certificate.
Format 27.5 x 25 x 20.5 cm (H/W/D). Weight approx. 5.85 kg.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Erwin A. Schinzel's birth: the sculpture "Sound of Waves" is available in two versions. Erwin A. Schinzel would have turned 100 on October 24, 2019. Throughout his life, Schinzel was a "classic" among sculptors. An artist who created works firmly rooted in the tradition of his art, openly and directly inheriting the legacy of the great masters of their craft, yet still managing to resonate today. His works demonstrate a masterful craftsmanship, where precision and perfection of representation are the highest standards of sculpture.
