Tessaro was born in Tuscany in 1958 and grew up near Vicenza. He was the greatest modern talent of the Venetian school of sculpture, working freelance and on commission after receiving his art diploma. Tessaro masters the classical language of art, dreamy yet clear. His sculptures embody self-assured young women, whose graceful, erotic allure he captures in natural poses. He crafts his slender female sculptures from Carrara marble with a sensitivity expressed in his virtuoso command of form and an infinitely delicate modeling of the surface: hymns to feminine beauty.
