Jan Köthe (born 1965) combines the solid hardness of stainless steel with organic forms in his sculptures, creating a dynamic aesthetic. He has gained recognition through numerous exhibitions and art prizes, including his participation in documenta 11 in 2002. He was nominated for the Brandenburg Art Prize in 2020, 2022, and 2024. Köthe studied sculpture at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund under Professor Horst Linn and currently lives in Berlin.
