Abstract sculpture “Collection” (2023) by Yves Rasch, bronze + wood

Yves Rasch, born in Hamburg in 1979, has been a freelance sculptor working with wood and bronze since 2002. From 2004 to 2009, he studied under Erich Gerer and has participated in numerous national and international symposia and exhibitions since 2005. His sculptures express an inner tension and possess a physical presence without being figurative. They radiate dynamism, tranquility, and harmony, revealing movement within stillness. Through different perspectives, his works constantly unfold new forms of expression. Rasch's wooden sculptures are the result of many hours of creative work on entire blocks and, despite their mass, appear light and elegant; his bronze sculptures are casts of these unique wooden works.
