The landscape of Northern Germany, with its bright yellow rapeseed fields, rugged coastlines with their foaming waves, and illuminated harbor views, has captivated Stefan Dobritz. Born in Lübeck in 1965, the artist was profoundly influenced by his encounter with the painter Jürgen Runge (1929-92). As a plein air painter, he creates most of his works on location, working exclusively with a palette knife. This painting technique allows for both impulsive work and the meticulous rendering of details.
