Grigor Velev is a Bulgarian professional contemporary artist. He was born in Sofia in 1969. In 1999, he graduated from the National Academy of Arts with a Master's degree in Fine Art Painting. Since graduating, he has developed into a successful artist with numerous solo exhibitions throughout Bulgaria. He loves to extend his unique style of modernist surrealism into realistic pop art and bizarre neoclassical nudes. His paintings consistently surprise with precise, vibrant colors and uniquely delicate details. His professional, highly refined technique is breathtaking, with its remarkable surrealistic accuracy and precision in color. The sharply defined dreamscapes and coloristic figure scenes make each oil painting a valuable work of art. In his spare time, he works as an art teacher at the art college in Elin Pelin, where he also lives. Since 2017, he has collaborated with the Bulgarian Integrated Artists Gallery in Sofia. This collaboration has led to the successful worldwide distribution of nearly 60 of his original artworks and the overall development of his artistic style and technique. Many of his artworks are already in private collections in the USA, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan, Germany, Italy, France, Dubai, Greece, Switzerland, Luxembourg and many other countries.
