Wooden sculpture “Dream Team” on the theme of friendship, by the artist duo Doppeldenk

For more than ten years, the Leipzig-based artists Marcel Baer and Andreas Glauch have been working together under the name "Doppeldenk" (Double Thinking). For their paintings, sculptures, prints, and light installations, they often extract well-known symbols, pictograms, and figures from their respective contexts and present them in a new and unusual form. Using a stylized and comic-like style with high-contrast colors, Doppeldenk highlight the relevant attributes of their motifs, creating subtle, critical, and sometimes humorous commentaries on mass cultural phenomena.
