About the artist: Richard Ray, Brookline, Vermont, USA. “Art is like a story. It has a beginning, a middle, and an end. The reader or viewer might identify with something in the story or the image. Then the artwork is like a leaf flowing freely down a river. You can follow it and see where it takes you.” Vermont-based artist Richard Ray has been honing his skills as an abstract artist for many years, more recently adding photography and digital collage. Ray has blended the two art forms to create his own unique style. Ray studied art in California at the La Jolla Athenaeum of Music and Arts, Napa Valley College, and the River Gallery Art School in Vermont. His work has been exhibited in galleries in New York, Switzerland, India, and Vermont.
