Steel sculpture “Bull de la noche II” (2013) by Thomas Otto, version in black

Thomas Otto, born in 1969, completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker and then earned his diploma from the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions throughout Germany; his expansive sculptures can also be found in public spaces (e.g., in Halle) and sculpture gardens. Otto's sculptures are characterized by organic, flowing forms. He skillfully incorporates negative space and spaces, which lend his steel works a remarkable lightness and allow for different perspectives depending on the viewer's angle.
