Asclepius was a master of medicine, surgery, and herbalism; he could even raise the dead. He was usually depicted with a staff entwined by a snake. This staff of Asclepius became a symbol of healing and, as a healing amulet, promotes health and longevity. A designer piece by jewelry artist Christiane Wendt.
