Hand-painted porcelain sculpture "Dog Coco" by Romero Britto

Thumbnail for the display imageClick to enlarge

The Brazilian-born artist Romero Britto expresses his joie de vivre through a lavish use of color. This is what makes his objects so endearing.

The sculpture 'Coco the Dog' is made of the finest hard porcelain and is a unique, hand-painted piece. Hand-painted table sculpture made of porcelain-like resin.

Happiness, joy, cheerfulness, and simply good spirits – that's what the original artworks of Brazilian self-taught artist Romero Britto spread, enriching any environment. Influenced by the visual language of Pop Art and comics, he creates his work in a typically balanced mix of patterns and colors, giving his expressive pieces a high degree of recognizability.

This polka-dotted, floral and striped porcelain dog is a fashionable and cheerful companion in all situations.

Format including wooden base 13.5 x 9.5 x 8.5 cm (H/W/D).

Romero Britto, born in Brazil in 1963, captivates audiences with his vibrant paintings and sculptures that radiate joy and hope. His collectors include celebrities such as Steffi Graf, André Agassi, the Kennedy family, and Barack Obama. As a representative of Pop Art, Britto draws inspiration from artists like Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. His works transform everyday elements into art by creating clear figures from dotted areas of color, brought to life by geometric patterns that simultaneously tell stories. He also collaborates successfully with renowned brands such as Audi, BMW, and Disney. Through his Britto Foundation, established in 2007, the artist supports numerous charitable causes. Today, his works command five-figure prices.
