Sibylle Rettenmaier's path to modern painting

Sibylle Rettaier's artistic career started with the fact that at the age of 27 she read a book about the modern artist Max Beckmann . The young woman was so touched by the works of the German painter that she decided to devote her life to painting from now on. She began contemporary paintings on a screen and quickly realized that the talent for art has slumbered in her since childhood.

Her passion was waiting to be discovered and shared with the world. Sibylle Rettenmaier's path to painting did not lead to classic painting training. Instead of attending an art college, she independently suited knowledge of proportions and color theory as part of her over 30 years of artistic work.

Before the artist devoted herself to art, she trained as a drogist and worked in a large cosmetic company for a few years. However, she continued to lead the feeling that a different calling was waiting in her life. In the mid -1980s she took over a restaurant, which quickly became a culinary meeting point.

career as a painter began at this place - she recognized a suitable exhibition area for her colorful works of art in the white walls of her restaurant. To the surprise of the young artist, they are so well received by the guests of the restaurant that the restaurant quickly became her first gallery.

The artist had found her calling and devoted her life to modern art from now on. Sibylle Rettaier as a freelance artist since the early 1990s . It not only creates modern acrylic images and large -format murals , but also sculptures made of metal and steel and now even designer furniture .

Groundbreaking events - from Schwäbisch Gmünd to the USA and back to Germany

At the end of the 1990s, Sibylle Rettenmaier founded the “Unikom” artist group . During this time, she regularly participated in art campaigns in the Stuttgart area gradually made her pictures and sculptures

In 2001 she finally set up an art gallery for abstract paintings , which at the same time also served as a studio. Your gallery and your studio have been located in your house in Mutlangen since 2003. In 2004 she opened her own online gallery, which enables interested parties from all over the world to admire and acquire her works on the Internet.

On the envelope of the Würth Kunst catalog, the name of the painter appears alongside names like Andy Warhol and Gerhard Richter .

In 2002, the artist received a scholarship from the city of Schwäbisch Gmünd, which she led to its twin town in Bethlehem in the United States. As part of the international artist exchange program, she spent a month at Leigh University Bethlehem and visited New York City several times and the studio of the late Keith Haring in Kutzown, Pennsylvania.

The stay in the United States decisively shaped the further work of the artist and inspired her to make her art even more lively. They also led the experiences to the decision to present their art on clothing and handbag.

In addition to her original paintings, the artist also offers art prints on canvas to enable art lovers with a smaller budget to beautify her living rooms with the colorful works. All her art prints appear in a limited edition and are hand -signed by the artist.

Art as liberation and meditation

Sibylle Rettenmaier sees modern painting as a liberation that connects it with the creative energy and the flow of life. For the artist, painting is a meditation that puts her in a different state of consciousness. This meditation leads you through different forms of expression and various art styles.

Many of their works are abstractly modern, others are reminiscent of the work of Pop Art Artists.

Other images, on the other hand, bear expressionist or impressionist features. Together, these works are one - they all bear the unique, distinctive handwriting of the artist and give deep insights into their personality.

In the following short video you can watch the artist paint on a round canvas when painting an acrylic picture. The round mural has a diameter of 112 cm. She discovered the motif for the acrylic painting

If Sibylle Rettenmaier already has a clear vision at the beginning of the creative process, she first outlines her idea with a pencil on the canvas. But not all of her pictures come from a previous idea - some abstract pictures take the artist with them on a journey into the unknown according to her own statements.

In some cases, hand -painted Canvas art without any prior planning. The painter lets her hand run wild and watches how unique pictures are gradually being created on the screen.

The artist is holding back with regard to the interpretation of her works of art Instead of analyzing her painting, she wants to address and touch people through her pictures on a personal and emotional level. With all her paintings, she combines an intimate relationship that makes it difficult for her to sell the works. But the artist is all the more pleased to make other people happy through their work and enrich living space with their colorful compositions.

The Salon de Art - painting meets interior design and design

Together with her son, the product designer Lucca Tiede, Sibylle Rettenmaier launched the Salon de Art . The project combines art with interior design and design . The vision of the two is to design interior in individual, modern and harmonious interior design art and to bring them to life through artistic wall design.

The Salon de Art enables walls to be individually designed by abstract and topic -related works of art or graphic motifs. Paintings in the form of paint printing on large aluminum plates become unique wall designs that can be adapted to every room.

Interested parties have the opportunity to choose their desired motif from the artist's great repertoire. It is possible to have this personalized individually by integrating logos and typography or by color adaptation to the environment.

In addition to artistic wall cladding, the Salon de Art Designer furniture . The first piece of furniture, a high -quality sideboard, celebrated its premiere at the international furniture fair in Cologne in 2018. Various sideboards available, further furniture is already being planned.
